XYCLE was started by designer Abigail Healing (see portfolio) in 2025. The idea behind this brand came from a surplus of plastic material in our world due to pollution and mass plastic consumption. Something needs to be done about the amounts of waste impacting our oceans and the species that inhabit them. Recycled fashion lines already out are typically very pricey and unaffordable to the majority of people. XYCLE is meant to bring sustainable fashion to all with being affordable and high fashion. Plastic bottle caps are collected from family and friends of Abigail Healing and herself. They are cleaned and separated into different melting points based on the thickness of the plastic. Using a panini press, the plastic is slowly melted and molded into varying shapes and cut for precision. Holes are also poked into the ends for connecting wires and or string for tying together. XYCLE currently offers three different products, and there is a waitlist right now, but soon, with a bigger team and production can put out more in the near future. Stay tuned….
