XYCLE challenges the commodification of recycled clothing and bridges the gaps caused by a lack of affordability and sustainability. The inspiration for this line came from trying to find a way to use the surplus of plastic material on our planet, caused by pollution and mass consumption. The amount of waste in our oceans and natural habitats is affecting the species that inhabit them. While there are brands combating this issue, there’s always a need for more. Recycled fashion tends to be unaffordable and inaccessible to the general public, while XYCLE brings sustainable looks to everyone without compromising fashion. These handmade pieces are crafted out of recycled material, including plastic, cardboard, and wire. These pieces were inspired by the timelessness of metal and how it can be styled in diverse ways. These pieces were made in pairs, each having two different metal-forward looks to show their versatility. The Same pieces can be worn in their own individual way, giving it more life and showing their ability to be worn and loved for more than one wear. RECYCLED FASHION IS THE FUTURE.
