All of these looks were made from upcycled nylon material to display the history of this textile and it’s impact on the climate, and society. Nylon tights grew popular in the 1950s and created gender norms among women in business constraining them in their daily lives. It was also used in the military to create parachutes and army ropes. Nylon now is mostly used in athletic wear like leggings. These looks portray the history starting from the 50’s to how nylon is used today.
